Our Apple modem went orange. Again. (Its little light is green when everything’s working right.)

That happens every month or two. Something inside its little brain is not happy, and it tells us so. If I unplug it from the wall and then plug it back in, it’s happy again.

But the fact that it keeps breaking is frustrating, even if it’s such a little thing.

Don’t even get me started on our cars (bigger things).

On the way to work yesterday morning, I realized that I was giving a huge share of my thoughts to things that are broken. Then I looked at the beautiful new green grass and tulips popping out of the moist spring soil and realized that there is a LOT that is right about the world around me.

Jesus said, “Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are?” (Matthew 6:26)

I don’t need to worry about those cars – nor get frustrated about the Apple modem. With God’s help, we can plow through those challenges – or learn to live with and embrace the things that won’t be fixed.
