We’re two thirds of the way through Jesus’ last three parables. The first two are about being ready, about making the most of what we have been given. The third one is about people, about how we treat people, about how we show love to people.

It is a parable, or a story, that matters. It is the last story Matthew records Jesus telling before he dies.

I’m not ready to do it justice tonight. It matters too much.
