One day last week, I decided to take a couple weeks away from writing here at 300 words. I was finishing up the “Sermon on the Mount” series and needed a breath before starting something new. So I simply didn’t post on Friday.
Nancy asked whether I was going to say anything. I said, “no”. But then I thought that maybe she was right (as she usually is.)
And then I couldn’t write because I ran out of energy and then (somewhat) out of breath. We learned on Sunday morning that I’ve got pneumonia (Great prognosis. Lower left lobe, for people who want to know. Antibiotics, inhaler, rest at home, for people who want to know. A physician, RN, RT, X-ray tech, triage RN, who were familiar faces. Underlying good health.)
But I was right in ways I didn’t realize. I did need a breath, in several ways.
So I’m taking one. And so is Rich, who is recovering from his own health challenge.
We’ll be back.
