Every day, almost, I see things that are broken. Or poorly designed. Or that could be much better.
Last weekend, I went to a coffee shop to enjoy some delicious coffee for a couple of hours in a stimulating environment.
After I finished washing my hands, I saw that the trashcan just below the towel dispenser had a small opening that did not allow even one paper towel to be thrown away properly.

I thought the layout would be far better if the trashcan weren’t under the towels at all, and a regular trashcan sat beneath that area instead.
Was that mental exercise worth anything at all? No.
In Matthew 6:27, Jesus said, “Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?”
And maybe my worries would have been less if my coffee was decaf.
