Rethinking the list.

I read the other day about monotasking as opposed to multitasking. It’s the idea of doing one thing at a time.

But when I think about that, or the idea of making a list of the three things I need to get done in a day, I always think about things that need to get done. Projects that need to be completed. Work to be finished before being able to rest.

I think that’s a problem. Or maybe it’s that I have a problem.

What if our one task for a day is spending time with someone? And not worrying about it needing to be a spectacular time?

What if the three things that need to get done are nap one, nap two, and nap three?

What if figuring out what counts doesn’t actually count?

See you tomorrow. Maybe.

What do you think?
