I need a psalm for sitting on the deck. Not because I’m good at it, of course. But because I am not.

Blessed are the ones who sit quietly on the deck. They shall hear the acorns like hailstones on the deck. They shall see the crows circling. And circling. And circling.
They shall breathe and slowly sense the breeze is actually the quiet peace of the Lord. They shall worry about what they should be doing and the Lord himself will say, “Sit with me and treasure the work I’ve done.”
And then he will whisper, “And appreciate the work you have done, too. I do.”
And they will find respite from the addiction to deadlines and healing from festering expectations. And, for a moment, their thumb will know rest.
