What a week. What a year!
In the midst of massive changes to our world and so much that’s out of our hands, there is one solid thing we can do – trust in God.
The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior;
my God is my rock, in whom I find protection.
He is my shield, the power that saves me,
and my place of safety.
Psalm 18:2
I have to ask myself who or what I’m placing my hope in. Often, it’s not God. It’s all too easy to look around and see the problems and challenges that we face and try to think, “What can I do to fix this?” Or it’s easy to feel hopeless as the waves crash around us.
I must keep going back to God with a shout or a whisper… daily… hourly… and more often than that sometimes.
