When I run, I post a photo in Instagram, sometimes with an observation that occurred during the previous few minutes.

Yesterday, after a few days with good but draining activities, and before heading to do a couple projects at Hope and Dan and baby-on-the-way’s new house, I wrote,

“In sports, a time out isn’t punishment imposed by someone else. It’s a pause to regroup. Though @richsride always reminds me that life isn’t a game, it can be helpful to choose to stop for a moment to breathe.”

And I realized that a short time-out would be helpful.

The event on Tuesday night was great, by the way, and I’ll be sharing with you some handrails for surviving the holidays.
