“The Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.”
That’s from Job 1:21, in the King James Version of the Bible – the version I (Pau) memorized when I was a kid.

Job wrote that after God allowed Satan to take away everything he had – his possessions and his kids. (Here’s a link to the whole chapter.)
So I’m once again in a place of loss.
I’m surrounded by countless blessings. However, when one thing you depend on is gone, you start to question your reality.
My recent journey has been marked by insomnia. Four-something-a.m. is my new friend.
It’s easy to say, “You need to relax and trust in Jesus.” But when you’re in sinking waves, it’s easy to lose sight of Jesus. I love the story of Peter and his lack of trust (link).
Let’s keep our eyes on Him. That kind of trust is a work in progress.
